How To Make – DIY Altoids (or Tobacco Tin) Concert Ukulele Free Plans

Image Posted on Updated on

This is a fun project for you, from the inventive Daniel Hulbert, free plans for a Concert Scale Altoids Ukulele.

Using basic tools and techniques you can make your own Altoids Ukulele, with a concert (15 inch) scale. You could even install a pickup and make it an electric ukulele.

You may struggle to find Altoids tins in the UK, so you could substitute this for a tobacco tin or any tin with a tight-fitting, shallow lid which has similar dimensions to these:

3-13/16″ (9.68 cm) long
2-7/16″ (6.19 cm) wide
3/4″ (1.91 cm) deep
