As soon as I laid eyes on this Ibanez UKS10 Soprano Ukulele with free Ibanez soprano ukulele gigbag with shoulder strap, I was staggered by the build quality for such a low budget ukulele, very nice (for the money) open geared chrome finish machine heads which hold tune well, smooth open-pore matte body, low & well-fitting nut with slots of differing sizes for the respective strings, neatly finished rosewood fretboard & bridge.
Upon closer inspection I found the rest of the build to be of an equal standard. Inside the body, the support woodwork all looks well placed & aligned with no sign of excess glue (& the label is straight). Most surprisingly of all, at least to me, was that the action out of the box, no word of a lie, was and still remains 2.2mm at the 12th fret! After some fret levelling, crowning, dressing & Aquilia strings this little sweetheart plays like a dream (I also cleaned and treated the fretboard). With a nice depth of sound, no fret buzzing and near perfect intonation along the entire ukulele fretboard. The sound has plenty of bark and attack with a decent amount of sustain.
Highly recommended soprano ukulele from a well-known, long-established guitar manufacturer. The best bang for your buck soprano ukulele I could find on the internet, Ibanez UKS10 Soprano Ukulele with a gigbag, delivered to your door for under £40*
